My name is Jaja from the Philippines. I live in the developing city of San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan which is a predominantly residential area, although there are already some built-up areas with growing commercial and light industries. There are a few tourist sites that you would enjoy here, such as an orchidarium, Golf and Country Club, fishing resort, falls, pineapple farm and the Mt. Balagbag is popular for trekking.
I teach Art, Tagalog, and English to students of different age level from kids and to adult learners since 2016. I would say that it's super fun to learn and discover various teaching approaches and techniques that match student's learning capabilities and strengths. I carefully tailor my class based on student's learning goals.
The focus of my Art and Design classes covers the basic elements of Art, drawing and painting composition, Principle of Design and some more fundamentals that will be very useful in reinforcing your art interest. These art and design classes are perfect for the absolute beginner through intermediate level. As for the advanced level, you can still take my art class as I'll try my best to prepare what I have in store for you, however I highly recommend you to seek for a true master in your chosen focus of expertise in Art. My art classes for children, on the other hand, are super easy and fun where we can enjoy drawing and painting artworks using various media without worrying too much about their art levels or knowledge. I do a demonstration in the class where they can copy me and simply follow my instruction regardless of their English level. It's another good idea to learn both English and art in my class.
Since I’m also passionate about teaching English and Tagalog, I can help you with your language needs through a free talk or customized lesson content. The Philippines is a bilingual country so I am familiar with both the struggles and joy about learning another language. We can discuss anything under the sun in accordance with your language goals.
As for my background, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and worked in a furniture company and an interior design firm before I started my teaching career. With my keen interest in teaching, I undertook training and I have also recently earned my TESOL certification. As soon as I started, I realized I have a passion for teaching. As a matter of fact, I'm moving to China very soon for my new job as an English Teacher.
In my spare time, I love painting, drawing, playing the ukulele, watching movies and TV series, and learning another language particularly Mandarin. I also love learning other Asian songs (Chinese, Korean and Japanese) as I am very interested in languages and cultures.
See you soon and I look forward to seeing you in my class!
